1. How did you become interested in fitness, and what motivated you to become a personal trainer?
- I was a competitive gymnast growing up. When that was over, I didnāt know what to do with myself, my body changed and I hated it. I tried everything to lose all the fat I had gained after quitting gymnastics. The last thing I tried was weight training and working on building my metabolism so that I could keep the fat off long-term. That is the last thing I tried. I did hours on hours of research and went through lots of trial and error to finally figure out what works! I got my NASM Personal Trainer Certification so that I could help others like me!
2. What is your fitness philosophy or approach when working with clients?
- We focus on long-term results. I help clients build muscle, lose fat, and increase their metabolism so they have long-term, sustainable results. No fad diets or crazy workout trends here, only methods proven by science.
3. What's your favorite type of workout, and why do you enjoy it so much?
- Weight training all the way! Specifically, hypertrophy focused training.
4. How do you stay motivated to maintain your own fitness routine?
- Surrounding myself with like-minded, motivated people to keep me going and following encouraging fitness influencers on social media help to keep me motivated, but ultimately it comes down to discipline.
5. What areas of fitness and wellness do you specialize in?
- Fat loss, muscle building, metabolism building, strength improvement, sports conditioning.
6. How do you incorporate nutrition into your training programs?
- The approach I use with my clients allows them to reach their goals while still enjoying the foods they love. We donāt restrict foods here, everything is okay in moderation. If your diet isnāt enjoyable, it wonāt be sustainable!
7. Tell us about any certifications you hold as a personal trainer.
- I hold a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Personal Trainer Certification
8. What do you enjoy most about being a personal trainer?
- I love seeing my client's transformation, not only in their body but how they feel overall. Seeing their wins every week makes me so happy!
9. How do you balance your professional life as a personal trainer with your personal life?
- This is extremely important to me. I am the type to get fixated on work. I actually enjoy working, especially with what I do. I make sure to set time aside to myself and to do other things I enjoy.
